does make me laugh that anyone who doesnt like it hates it with a passion, there is huge skill in making drum and bass and dance music. It seems though that the outer rims of music is just hated by everyone apart from the few who like it.

I love drum and bass, but it does not mean i am a stereotype chav, i just like the music, but just because i dont like "normal" music doesnt mean i need to slag it off/eat razor blade sandwitches.

Just my opinion, but if everyone liked the same things, we wouldnt 'arf be very boring

Going back to the mid to late Eighties I used to help a friend with his massive mobile Disco system, 8KW of pure power, at the yearly Caister Jazz-Funk & Soul festivals.

Great times, nothing like what you lads do now, it was all analogue Pioneer decks in those days, I'm trying to remember the name of the mixing desk...I'll come back on that one.

That's the thing though, my parents hated heavy rock and punk. I don't like the stuff my lad listens to either (modern mega heavy rock/thrash n what ever)
The beauty is that whilst he has the right to listen to it (and crank it up cos I'm an understanding father), I have the right to say I don't like it.
I wouldn't have it any other way as it's good to voice an opinion, as long as it's just an opinion and not a call to ban it "because it's corrupting the youth of today"

Here endeth the sermon, ya bunch of noisey Chavs
