Hiya guys im just checking my vibe 90 over!!! just out of intrest should there be any play in the main gear?? the main goes up and down!! ive had a look at the manual, nufin to say about it. Any one got any ideas??? millsy foxynig@hotmail.co.uk nigel

There is a small amount of play in there, perhaps 1mm - enough to make it click when rocked, if you know what I mean.

The gears can't really go anywhere as the main shaft is locked in place by the bolt in one end and the mast locking collar above the top bearing block, with the gears on the hub (attached to the shaft) inbetween - the only way you could get a lot of play in there is if the spacer shim that sits on top of the bearing below the main gear is missing.
