Trex 700e DFC 'leaning back'

Have a new 700e pro dfc hv.

Whenever I'm hands off the heli pulls back as if I have down trim set (which I dont)

It's not the wind as when I sat it nose in with the wind in my face it still drifted in to the wind.

Doesn't matter if I'm hovering or in forward flight, it needs a bit of forward elevator on.

Any ideas? Bit lost with this and its annoying

Is the swash perfectly level?

What FBL controller are you running? i had similar issues with the Align 3GX when i flashed the latest v5 software. In that case cranking up the gain pots all the way to max helped reduce the back drift, but never quite got rid of it. In the end i swapped to a Kbar which fixed the problem. Flashing back to v4 would probably have fixed it too, I never had the problem on v4.

Swash plate not level or the CG could be well out. Make sure you don't have any sub-trim (unless its a 3gx fbl controller)

Wasn't the CG in my case, but of course it is worth checking.

I'd be interested to hear if it is the 3GX that's being used and firmware version.

Seen as it is such a vital part of a models set up….. you would have to assume everyone checks their Cog before the model ever takes to the air?! You should be anyway... It shouldn't ever need checking again providing you are accurate with how you rig up your battery trays.

Hi guys, thanks for lots of suggestions.

It's not the CoG, its actually a TINY bit nose heavy, but barely anything at all.

No subtrim set.

Its a BX7200 fbl controller and the pots are both at 12 but I assumed as it would never drift forwards I would just keep them as they are.

I'll check the swash again but I'm sure they were right when I put the head on

Yes it's worth double checking the swash and/or increase the gains. It could be a combination of a very small error on the swash alignment plus not enough pitch gain to stop the heli tilting.
