  • Stuff you can't get in the UK.

I was just thinking how often I come across stuff I want in this hobby that you simply can't buy in the UK.

    Here are some examples:

    Soko Heli tool
Jlog 2.6 GW - These must be made of unobtainium or something.
Secraft servo horns (in sizes useful for helis)
    Cyclone blades

Now these aren't niche items. At least I don't think so. They're useful on a wide range of products. The Soko kit will work on any heli out there from 250 up -- No need for a ton of different swash levellers. Secraft horns save servo gears in crashes, and they're dirt cheap. The Jlog GW is useful if you run any telemetry system and either Castle or Kontronik ESCs -- No more timer needed. Cyclone blades are widely thought of as one of the best blades on the market, and have you heard them in person? They sound like the voice of a deity!

So what's the deal? No market for them?
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

We also don't have Pulse Lipos over here and they seem popular in the USA. I haven't heard of the Secraft servo horns. No idea why Cyclone blades wouldn't be available here, seems like FL had them briefly.

No Rapicon either! Hopefully that'll change sometime soon.

Would you look at that. Go Midland, and all sizes too.

Hopefully this is the start of a constant supply, and I can get some to try on different helis.

Mr Ayriss had them on the Mostro at North Notts too. I commented that they were b-surface ones. I think Rob Turnbull had a set on his 700 nitro too.

There was no sign of them until Saturday morning. I check Fast Lad, Midland, and Align-Trex every day for new products. Yes, I am that sad!

Midland now have stock of Cyclone blades, they will also be getting some Secraft servo horns in but im not sure when .

I now have set of 695 and 105 cyclone blades on my Mostro, which Pete flew on Sunday at the champs.

Once again Midlands lead the way.

ONE DAY after my Soko kit arrived from Austria, they have it in stock in the UK.

So Soko kits are sorted, Cyclones are sorted (Raj also has stock), secraft horns are apparently on the way, so that just leads the "crafted from a blend of unicorn horn and hens teeth" Jlog 2.6GW.

Come on. My E700 one needs it as there's nowhere to mount the FrSky current sensor.

It has always been the way. I had to buy a mini palm heli years ago from the States and I got some kit from Century itself before there was a Century UK. It's what the internet is all about........if they'll send what you want to here. Before a person buys a heli, they should get lappy.
Helicopter pilots get it up quicker.

When the blue light is flashing I am kidding.

Why simplify when it is so much simpler to complicate.
