  • Turnigy SK3 600 size 510 KV

Has anyone tried one of these?

I am planning to fit one to my 600 EFL as the align 510kv motor that came with it is in need of replacement. I can either buy one of the SK3's or use the 50% offer and trade my original motor for a brand new align one. Decisions.....

Will the 700 size fit?... they are pretty good bang for your buck. what is wrong with your align motor? is it an m or and mx?

I think a 700 would fit with a mod kit. The motor is an MX and it's hopelessly out of balanceand sounds rough, I have put a new shaft and bearings in but its made little difference.

        Did it have an impact?

Possibly, I bought it a year ago second hand and have had at least 80 flights with it. I changed the bearings and shaft when I got it and it was still a bit rough then, however I recently got a Vortex on it and am running at 2250 head speed and the vibes have become very noticeable. Prior to the vortex I only ran 2000 head speed and gentle 3D, however now I'm more into chucking it around and having a go at this big air lark I also plan to run it at 2350 head speed to see what it's like.

Sounds like the can is out of balance. I've had good luck with the 600mx so far. I have had four of them and no problems, they all work really well and a couple have quite a lot of flights.

i'm now running 3 different Turnigy SK3 motors (had 5 altogether including the 540KV in a 600 logo) and i've never had a problem.....they are powerful, reliable and great value for money IMO.

I have the 550kv in my agile 5.5 and its been great so far. The only thing is the shaft is short so won't reach the counter bearing support but the align shaft might fit
