Finally...

After months of not flying and one issue after another... a constant tail wag eventually cured after much head scratching.... ill post up a small vid and we can see if anyone can pin point why the tail wasnt working properly.

Big thanks to Lee, John and Richard for we took ages trying to find it... so that i could finally get some flights in a nice surprisingly warm day.

When it spooled up I had no tail control can anyone guess why :-)

the control rod ball wasn't connected
the tail pitch control wasn't refitted
or you photoshoped the tail gearbox onto the video

lol top two nope, no video trickery - we ended up watching it for a while spooling back up and forth and took off the tail blades then disconnect the tail linkage to see why the tail servo just stopped working as soon as the heli reached half throttle.

My guess - In the vid it looks like the control rod vibrates. So I reckon the guides for he rod are ****ed?

We thought the rod guides where binding and the vibration was a clue but nope.

A clue is in the fact that the control of the tail is lost as the throttle increases...

any of the above plus slipping gear on output shaft and power drop to tail servo, vibration leading to chafing wires leaking, loosening of plugs etc etc. It's a long plod tracking this stuff

You accidentally have a mix that is reducing the gain as the throttle increases?

I'm guessing something based on the transmitter, when past half throttle some dodgy mix has been added and plays with the tail?

Other than that the servos had it?
