One does have to sympathise with our transatlantic cousins. They only have three types of aerial vehicle and patently 'helicopters, choppers. whirlybirds, egg-beaters' and the like are neither planes nor superman...
And an air ship (airship, ship) is either a blimp or a dirigible.

Same here, no bother with "bird" i sometimes call them like that myself, but chopper? Hell no!

Me too… spent about a year in total doing shows over there in different cities every day. To be honest i found the people like any other… a broad selection of everything. Some of the nicest people i have ever met, right through to some of the worst.

Tw@ts are tw@ts regardless of their nationality race or creed. I think people get the impression all Americans are loud, obnoxious, ignorant, racist, crass, culturally underdeveloped idiots. This is not the truth at all. Of course those types do exist… just as they exist everywhere in all societies.

I think we hold a certain amount of snobbery towards anything they do with the English language…. and why not lol It is just banter though.

just for the record, in my job I come into close contact with almost every race,religion, there is in this country, daily,,

I see the lack of respect shown to people giving help to them and to this country, and I have to switch off any intolerance I may feel because of my job.

So please don't try to lecture me or tell me what I can dislike, not agree with, or hate to put it in strong terms in a light hearted thread I started about people using the term Bird to mean helicopter,
Words are just words and I choose to ignore yours FFS, whatever that's supposed to mean
