  • If you had to only have one heli?

Just kind of following on from the other two threads about how many helis folks own and how much you've spent on various helis etc, one thing I've wondered is if you could only have one heli what would it be and why?

Me personally it would have to be my Trex 550e or possibly even my raptor 30 (but upgraded with a 50 engine!!) reasons being are my 550 is very easy to find spares for, uses a wide range of batteries of which it only needs one (as opposed to a pair of flight packs plus rx pack like my 700)

It is also small enough to fit in most small cars and yet big enough to fly in strong winds.

My raptor makes a good case too as it's a very simple heli, it has a plastic head, flybar, a hoofing great nimh rx pack and with the 30 engine it sips fuel! If it was to be my only heli though it would need a 50 engine for a little more power.

    What about you guys?

I have to agree. I have and have had more 550s than any other heli and they also get flown the most. One 6s Lipo at a time and a decent size Heli.
Been there and done that, but never stop learning.
Now too many Helis to mention?

I'm going to go against the grain and say a 700 electric. I haven't flown my 7HV yet, so I'll say the E700.

2x packs (well 3 on mine as I run a Rx battery) doesn't bother me as I have a brilliant charger and a generator.

I do have a 550 (Agile 5.5), but I only have a few flights on it so far and I'm not finished getting it set up. So I'm not really acquainted with the 550 size yet.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

I would say my Logo 600SX, I really did enjoy flying that and may have another eventually.

Raptor E700 or Agile 7.2 would have to toss a coin though to choose one.

I'd keep my 550E. Nice size, easy to get spares, easy to work on, single battery, easy to sell.

It has to be my Logo 550sx, decent size Heli, very light and takes a single 6s battery

I would have to have my neck broken to remove my 700's of me, !
But in reality i have my trex 500 in my van ready to go all the time, and i frequently stop in a quite spot when i get chance, so it gets flown the most.

I don't know, the answer for me would change every other week.

Right now it would be the Mostro. Closely followed by the Agile 7.2!!!
