  • Trex450 mode issue.

    Guys...

flew the 450 after a minor crash last weekend tonight for the first time...

by the way damaged blades and bent main shaft.

all flys okay except that the flight modes do not work now....go into idle up 1 or 2 and the throttle does not change...pitch does but thats all.

have i damaged the esc maybe..

    any ideas.

Surely you have 100 90 100 or similar for idle up 1 and 2 so it wont change..

I doubt it is a damaged ESC.

If you damage them it's unlikely to cause this sort of problem...normally it's just the magic smoke escapes and they won't work without magic smoke

Are you sure you've changed nothing on your Tx?

not made any changes to throttle curves etc on tranny...

when i say rpm does not change i mean when going from mid stick normal mode into idle up 1 and then 2...before the crash you could hear the revs spin up now nothing....very strange.

spool up etc in normal mode seems well normal..

Has your battery life reduced at all? If your hover time is down aswell it coudl be binding or "tightness" in the main rotor? Hows your main gear to motor pinion spacing? Small amoutn of play is needed hear.... Witht eh heli OFF try spinnign the main blades by hand and see how easily they spin? Not binding?

          Just some random ideas....

If there was significant binding I would expect your flying time to be down too because the motor will be taking more power!

          Cheers
