Carry bags (Trex 550 Pro DFC)

Does any one use a carry bag if so which ones? can you fit a transmitter in the carry bag as well? As they look like a tight fit from the pictures ive seen?

I have a 550E Pro (not DFC) with the Align bag and it is a pretty tight fit. I wouldn't want to put a transmitter in with the heli though. It would just move around and could damage something IMO.

FWIW, with the 550DFC models you need the 600 size align bag, as the kits ship with a longer boom and won't fit into the 550 bag.

Plenty of room in the bags, I normal throw a few more bits in there, not sure I'd risk my tx though.

Cocoon bags are also really nice, but a little more expensive.

Better quality than the align ones and can be ordered with a side pocket to hold your tx.

I have always used Bags for most of my Helis. Trex & Tarot Bags for both 550 & 600. Trex 700 for Goblin 700. The Blade 550X and the TDR will not fit in standard 550 and 700 bags. I also have Turnigy 450 bags for thr 450X. The only difference with all the bags are the zips are better on the Trex. Bags for Tx, tools and Lipos can be fitted to the Velcro already inside the bags:-

Brill Thanks, doesnt look like any where has stock of the Black Trex 600 bags at the mo, so may have to wait but I think thats the one I will go with as its not too expensive.

Not surprised that the older 550E bag won't fit the newer heli if the boom is longer. It is almost as if I have to squeeze it in . It is OK once in but a tight fit for sure.

I have no problem fitting the 550FBL in the Trex or Tarot Bags. The 550DFC fits into a 600 bag because it has the 600 tail boom. The Blade 550X is s different heli and is too long to fit into a 550 bag.

Does any one know how many 6s 5000 batteries the battery pouch can hold roughly?

Yes - I can get three opti 5000's in there - quite snug.

Well I have ended up buying one of these HeliBag/ I think it looks pretty smart.

The new bag arrived today, and after a bit of assembly I filled it up and took it to the field, I managed to fit in my Trex 550, 5 x5000 6s, DX9 and small tool kit.
Really well made, nice and strong, heli strapped in nicely so it didnt move. Very impressed.

Mate, there are velcro straps inside the bag?

No Velcro straps in the bag, there is a strip of Velcro along the bottom about half the length of the bag, there are two straps with clips at the front for securing the heli.

How rigid is the structure of the bag, is it hard to bend?
