  • 450 pro loses power inverted :(

    Hi guys,
first Apologies as i wasn't sure where to post this.
I have a Tarot 450 pro v2 with a Tarot zyx s2 fbl unit... Flys a dream...until you go inverted with full negative.
running the align 35a esc and a phoenitech motor.
Flying around in idle up 1 with a v throttle curve there is no problems and plenty of power when you pump the stick, flip inverted however and you have plenty of power until you are about 3 quaters of the way into negative and the power just dies away and blades begin to slow..... i have tried idle up 2 which is a straight 100% and have the exact same problem.
im lost as what to try... i have tried reducing the amount of pitch with no success.
    Any help is much Appreciated.

Take the blades off (including tails) take it to the garden, adjust your overall throttle to a much lower amount but keep the effective curve the same, put your tx in monitor (if it has such a facility) and spin it up. Flick idle up and try going from pos to neg and see what happens, also check what happens in monitor, is the throttle actually responding as it needs to relative to pitch change?

Not the best method by any means but so long as you don't ry and spool it up on a high throttle it will at least enable you to see exactly what your throttle is actually doing.

The probability is that the BEC in the Align ESC is not able to provide enough current to drive the FBL controller and all the servos under a heavy load.

I experienced severe brown out problems when I converted my sport to fbl. It was cured by buying a Castle Talon 35 esc.

Why would it work ok upright but not inverted?

check for vertical play in the main shaft (and any possible binding as a result)

Then check your throttle curves are setup/working right.

Also that negative pitch is the same as max positive pitch.

Can you take a picture of your throttle curves and post it?

hey guys, after looking through my radio the end points wasn't set to there maximum from default for some reason very odd as to why they wasn't on the mz18!
after adjusting these she flew a dream until my align esc gave up and burst into flames mid flight! i wont be using one of them again! :/
i am not having much luck of late!
              thanks for your inputs!
