  • Futaba T7CP fault

When I was flying my Trex 600 yesterday, I suddenly found I had lost nearly all movement on my elevator/Aileron control and I was lucky to land my heli safely!!!!!
On investigation I had found that my Tx had reset my right aileron end point to zero on its own!!! I then found that I was unable to select any of the aileron/elevator end points and the cursor would not move from the right aileron position.
If you reset the Tx to plane mode (acro) the end points can be adjusted, but when you switch back to HR3 mode the end points are frozen in the right aileron position.
I am guessing that it is a software problem with the Heli mix mode and can only fixed by Futaba, I suppose I will be switching to 2.4ghz sooner than I expected, its a shame as My Tx is only 15 months old!!!!
I would be interested if anyone else has experienced a similar fault with their Futaba Tx

Have you tried re-setting the model memory, I know its a pain in the ar-se to set up again but I have had similar probs with mine and that sorted it.
I copied the model memory setting to another position then I had a back up for comparing when setting up again.
      Worth a try before you

Thats not good, Martin, but atleast you got the heli down safely.
I got the field myself sunday after 5 Steve was still there.
The new lad had apparently just smacked his evo, due to flat reciever pack. Hope it doesnt put him off.

No it wasn't good, but I should have suspected something was wrong earlier when I was giving it a check over before I went to the field I noticed the pitch curves had changed and assumed it was an error on my part.

I have tried resetting, but you still cannot make any adjustments for end points on elevator/aileron the cursor won't move from right aileron setting and I don't trust the set now as there was very little response from the stick when the heli is flying, but the swash seems to move ok when it is on the ground????

Hope the weekend was more succesfull for you with no damages

The new boy was doing well when I left, he was nose in and doing well on orientation if he learns to fly that quickly he will be doing inverted by next sunday. He was enjoying himself so much he must have let the battery state slip his mind!!!!!!!!
