How to bind new DX6 to 3GX

Mine bound OK but then no gyro.
Pain in the butt.
You will have to use a full size receiver anyway so try that. If it binds then great.
If it doesn't bind then we will have to look elsewhere for the problem.
7 channel full receiver first, then go from there.

I have no idea... i fly Futaba....it just works lol....just trying to sort this for the guy next door....this Spectrum binding is propper frustrating lol

Know how you feel, I'm Futaba, no problems. I have a Spektrum module for it for mcpx but that's it.

Had zero issues binding with the demon 3sx and spek easy as pie.

Try binding to an unused vacant memory slot. You should find it will bind to the new slot ok. Once bound then go back and try binding the original slot and it should work.. (just dont ask me why!)

Having said that, previous advise is correct, you need a 7 channel Tx for a 3GX using satellites (but that's not why it wont bind). 6 channels is ok if using a conventional Rx.

Yes, my mistake, a 6 channel full receiver is OK for DX6 with 3gx as gyro stays on channel 5 with receiver.
Only changes to channel 7 with satellites.
