Edge rotor blades

I was looking on Mikados website a few days ago and the edge blades I wanted showed red ( out of stock), today I went on again and they showed green, so I ordered some. So my query is, as I thought you could not get hold of edge blades anymore, where are Mikado getting them from?

I've heard a little rumor that they bought the moulds when edge went bump, but not 100%. When my 690 turned up, yes it had edge blades, but the name was cut out of the box and I got sent rotor tech tails. I can't explain why they still have edge written on them tho?

Doesnt really bother me as I had some new tails anyway, so these aren't used, but I do get what you mean. Maybe worth a call to FL and see what they say.

If your spending that amount of money on a Heli, you should at least know what blades it comes with, they could shove anything in the box!

No 95mm mate.

I have two pairs of Edge 95mm tails that I'll swap for something comparable if anyone is looking for them because I don't usually use Edge main blades anyway and have been just as happy with Radix and other tail blades. One of these pairs are 'B surface' which also never bothered me.

At helimasters a friend of mine asked Ralph the owner of Mikado what the situation was regarding Edge blades, he said no problem as long as you order direct from Mikado, they have just had an order, then he asked what about when these run out, he replied i will order some more before that happens.

Thanks for that Ross, that's good to know. The blades are more or less the same price as over here, it's just the £9 postage that makes them expensive, so if I need anymore in the future, which I probably will, I'll order more than one pair.

So I'm guessing someone has bought the moulds and are in production again?. That is good to know, but I do like the way the new aligns fly and they are reasonable priced too.
