  • MCPX BL tail issues

I recently stacked my mcpx which resulted in needing a new boom and one servo link. These have all been replaced now but the tail seems to just want to do its own thing.

When you spool up the model piros like its on crack like the gyro sense is reversed. I have tried turning the cable around as I've seen reports about issues with the green marking but that made no difference. I'm yet to replace the tail motor but I wouldn't have thought that would have broken.

Has anyone else seen this happen after replacing the boom with the solid type?

    Cheers

A good crash can kill the tail motor

It killed mine, is the tail motor running at all? Mine was only spinning occasionally on spool up and getting hot

It run when it wants to. There's no pattern as to when it decides to run. Will order up a new tail motor and see what happens

Well the motor doesn't feel too hot but it is warm. What I did notice is that the shaft is now sticking out of both ends so I think I can safely say its fubar.

Send it back to HH with a covering note explaining you've crashed it, tried to repair it, but can't work it out. They'll sort it for you ...

I tailed mine into the wall and thought I'd broke it. The motor would go one way, but not the other. Tail boom was split, and I made a new one (extra length for stability). Still no joy.
I even took it back to my hobby shop where I bought it from and asked the lads to have a look.
These little copters, it turns out are very sensitive and when I went back, the guy told me that when he binded his tx into it, there was no probs.
I took it home unconvinced, but put the same settings into a new model on my tx and. . . .Yes, It did work!!
Might be worth a rebind / re program. Just a thought!!
P.s If the tail motor works, I don't think it's necessarily broke??

Well I replaced the motor tonight and I still have the problem. Not sure whats wrong with it now. I've tried reversing the cable as I had read about the green markings been incorrect but this still doesn't not.
