Spin red tip tail blades

Im just curious whether anyone else has had any problems with these blades causing bad tail vibes? We've had a couple of heli's running these blades that have suffered with bad tail vibes which have disapeared after swapping them out for another type..

interesting, i ran them on my synergy without any problems, put them on my mostro and it didnt like them. Same thing with an X7.

I run 685 red tips on my X7 with no problems at all, I have also run Red tips on other 700 size machines and never had an issue .

I had both my tail grips come off in the air when I tried a pair of Mat Red 105s on my Faifa. Maybe it was just coincidence but that was the only thing I changed on it and had previously flown with Rails.

The ones you bought from me? I was using them on my TSA for months without any problems. It must be a tail ratio thing, maybe they dont suit helis with faster tails?

Yeah, this was a few months ago. One theory I had was that the rearmost area behind the blade bolt is quite deep and may have been able to touch the locknuts that hold the grips on. The Faifa uses locknuts on a threaded hub instead of bolts going into it where you'd use threadlock. But it's impossible to say for sure what caused it and I cannot rule out the possibility that the locknuts may have already started getting loose and I just didn't notice. The crazy thing was that both grips (with the blades still in them) came off at exactly the same time. All the blades were unharmed! The loss of the tail did cause a hard landing though because I could not get it quite level in time. It was definitely a very strange occurance.
