So the 450 went in first but that's almost normal with 450's when trying stuff out.
The 500 went in about 3 times inside the same week...a combination of stripping front tail gears in fight and a pinned boom backing out and even a spontaneous motor stop. I autoed it each time with only one ding but that's waiting for a new front tail box which has to be worn to be causing most of that and it's going to take some bench testing to find why the motor stopped that once. 2 down.
Next was the 600N .. Ok a straight dumb thumb job I'll happily take the blame for but it's lost the gear sets and cracked a case ona DS620 on cyclic and new one's aren't about. If anyone has a secondhand one?? It may be possible to fix with case parts and a gear set but... No3
Then the 700N...at least that just sheared the start shaft before ever leaving the ground..and that's number 4
And the final straw today was my Blitz avro. I''m always so careful with that.. a proper and thorough preflight - really and first flight was absolutely fine. During the second I lost the tail - which was due to a bolt backing out of the frame swivel.. which i had definately checked and had no play on preflight. I grabbed loads of height before the auto..and then stupidly brought her in too steep, fluffed the landing and did both skid bows and cracked the bottom plate. <sigh> at least blades, boom etc were fine.
I'm not sure I even want to fly my last heli.. since MinAir folded i doubt I can get spares and with this luck.......
