  • DX6i Replacement Switch

    Hi Guy's

Now I'm not so sure whether this has been covered, but, I am in desperate need of a replacement "Idle Up" switch or (Gear 0 / F Mode 1 switch) for my DX6i Transmitter.
This due to an unfortunate incident with dropping my Tx onto the floor.
I've tried emailing Horizon Hobby for advice, but no further contact as yet (2 weeks ago).
Maplin electronics sold me what they thought would work, but is no where near.
I've got an idea that it is a Double Pole Throw Switch (DPTS), but that is all I know.

Anybody out there, can point me in the right direction of an alternative or advise me on where to purchase one, I would be very grateful!!

When I dropped my DSX9 I did the same broke the throttle hold switch, quite important that one! Without the option of support from Horizon Hobby, I also went to Maplin's.

I got this switch Ultra Miniature Toggle Switch SPDT | Maplin

Which one did they sell you?

Thanks very much for that info there Boggy. Will ring em first thing Monday morning.

st200ol, They gave me the same switch you've got, but I've found that the actual switch stork is not very long. It just say sticks out from the controller. I also had issues with it fitting in the hole? Unless that's just me doing something wrong (Which wouldn't be surprising!!).

Anyway, Thanks to all who replied to me and I'll try ringing Horizon to see if they'll send one out in the post.

There is a rumour that you can assign another switch on the controller to do the "Idle Up"?? Not sure how to do this tho??

Yes I had the same problem with my length (oh err missis) no problem with it fitting in the hole though!

What I did was used a short length of CF tube which was a close fit over the switch, then glued it with epoxy to make an extension.

I always intended to return the transmitter to JR for a proper fix over the winter but never did and that was 4 years ago, its still perfectly OK.
