  • Titan x50. Any good?

I have been reading reviews on the above Heli, but can't seem to find many reviews or comparisons of it against what is out there at the mo.

Is it still good in its fbl form torque tube or belt?

Hi mate I have not had the x50 myself but have had many thunder tiger helicopters from the E325 to the raptor 60 and had no problems with any of them
Thunder tiger are a well know helicopter maker with great helis for the money.

I have had both makes and think they are as good as each other, I am no 3D flyer so cant say at that level of flying. I think Align is just the popular one because of the ease of obtaining parts.

Ok good. I am no 3d flyer either. I think for the air frame only the x50 is a little more expensive but not much. Also replacement parts are a little more expensive.

But the align manual for the trex 600 says to check blade thrust bearings every 20 flights! Also some say they wear quickly. Does the x50 have these issues

All bearings will need checking no matter what heli you have the more aggressive you fly the sooner they need changing. my raptor 60 has the same bearings for the last 3 years
checking bearings and blades etc is in your best interest.

I check mine quite frequently but I haven't had a problem with them in 325 flights!

I would go with any as they both fly great just go with the one you like the look of as you cant go wrong with any of them
Thunder tiger has been around longer than Align but Aligns innovation in helicopters is second to none.

i've got an x50 flybared and a trex600 dfc fbl

the x50 is a very good airframe, i've not had an issue with it in the 2 or so years of flying it
but take a look at the spares availablity as it can be a little poor at times
there is rumoured to be a new x50/50 size g series coming out
the tt fbl head on the e550 flies well (the same as the x50 fbl head)

i will state that i'm not an align fan but i purchased the 600dfc due to parts availablity
my 600 wore its bearings out very rapidly, the oneway bearing is now playing up, the swash is worn
and it crashes like a sheet of glass
i will be honest in saying i don't like the trex brand after a bad taste with the 600 and 700 i had a few years ago
                    i purchased the 600 in dec 2013

at heart i'm a hirobo man but having found out that hirobo uk was in trouble in 2013 (it has now gone under)
the trex was bought to have a model to fly whilst i was waiting for hirobo parts to come from overseas
as yet i've managed to get the crash parts for my hirobo's in the uk

My X50n tt fbl is twice the machine of an Align 600 as it just does it all and alot better however not sure on current spares situation.

The Align 600 is still a helluva of a machine, owned a few (raptor 50 replacement) but the x50 is a step above.

Can't go wrong with either however the 600 is the cheaper repair hands down

Hi, I've had the TT X50 for about 18 months in that time I've had no problems with the model. I do have lots of trouble with my flying abilities and the ground jumping up at the heli. Never had to replace any parts apart from when its crashed. Main problem is that some spares are now hard to get.
mine started out as the flybarred version with belt drive (more forgiving) I then got the conversion head to go FBL would have to say thank to WaveyDavey for setting it up for me.

the tt x50 is without doubt a good helicopter
the problem is lack of support by tt and or the importers

I love my X50E to bits, but too scared to go out of my comfort zone in case I crash it. Only thing I don't like is the material the canopy is made of. It tears easily.
