  • Some advice on retro kit please folks.

Evening all. A friend of mines father in law passed away recently and left his rc kit to "anyone, as long as it gets flown".
Now, by whatever convoluted means, it has worked its way into my hangar! There are 3 (seen happier days) planes, a bag of bits including a 40 OS engine, a Century Neon Blaze helicopter and a JR X 3810 TX. My question is regarding the latter item. Is the tx worth converting to 2.4ghz with the spektrum module and using, or would I be better off selling on and continue using my dx6i?
I will be respecting the gents wishes, I plan to spruce up his planes to their former glory and continue flying them. :-)

Could be worth selling the JR Tx and using the money to make any necessary repairs to the models. Saves you have to learn a new radio system as well. I would do it 100% if the JR is 35Mhz.

I would probably carry on with your DX6i, can't see the 3810 being worth much though.
