As Rachel said we are blessed by the presence of Bert Kammerer again and also joining us will be Dunkan Bossion - his flying is just insane recently!

Help needed for Helifest 2014....????

I was hoping somebody might be able to help???

I have just booked Mathew (my son) into the Funfly at Helifest this year. He is a very competent pilot and flies mainly smooth 3D/sports. He has a BMFA - A cert at the moment but I believe he will need a caller with a B cert to fly at Helifest?

Would anyone off here be willing to give us a bit of time so he can fly, or even better, are there any BMFA examiners going who could run him through his B test?

He is a 16yr old lad and very sensible...!!! He will be flying a Logo 600se.

Hi Dave, we have a number of examiners on site and have previously taken BMFA tests at HeliFest (usually on the Friday). When you arrive and check in if you ask about Mathew taking his test I will see if we can get it arranged for you.
we have 80 pilots signed up now of which loads of those are B cert holders so you shouldn't have any trouble. Pilots with B Certs will be given a different coloured wrist band also so that you can see who to ask

All the guys and girls coming to fly at all events are so helpful - if there's anything you need just ask and someone will usually be able to help!

I didn't think there would be an issue getting someone to spot for him, but if someone could run through his B cert, that would be superb.

We might not be there in time on Friday, it depends how soon I can get the caravan sorted and finish work, but needless to say, I will be hurrying up!
