Hello! I'm looking for some advice please...
I have a couple of raptor (30 converted to a 50 and a 50 titan scale) and I'm happy flying the 30 around at my local flying field and I have a little 120SR at home for messing around in the garden and lounge.
Since the flying field is a good 20 minute drive away I fancy something small which I can fly in the garden when I cant be bothered to go to the field. The 120SR being fixed pitch is fairly boring and doesn't really relate to a collective pitch at all.

I'm looking at either the nanoCPX, 130X or the mCPX bl.

I have heard of problems with the mCPX washout and that the 130x can be damaged on the tail gears easily but the nanoCPX may be too small to take outside properly.

Ideally I'd like something that will relate to the way my 50s fly (might be far-fetched I know!)

Also I don't really want to go much above £150 if possible.

    Please vote above.

The mCPX doesn't have a washout base. It has a kind-of, sort-of DFC head. There are basically arms in the head that hold the pitch links straight.

Either way, it works absolutely fine! I've never heard of any issues with it.

Anyway, in direct answer to your question ... the nano CPX is indoor only IMO. The 130X flies more like a larger helicopter than the mcpx, but the mcpx has buckets more power for its size, and is more resilient.

Personally, I prefer the 130x for the reasons stated above - but I do keep a stock of the tail gears which can be fiddly to change. The mCPX BL is a really good bet, and fits your budget!

Thanks for the info (and the votes!)
I've been playing with all three on phoenix over the past couple of days and I think that based on that alone I do prefer the 130. Both the nano and the mcpx seem to have a peculiar characteristic where the head speed seems to drop slightly whenever you have any cyclic input. This seems to make it loose a fair amount of height whenever you move it around. I can only assume (and hope) that this is a simulation glitch and does not happen with the real thing!??!

The 130 definitely seems to fly more like a larger heli.

Do not judge the any of them on how they fly on Phoenix. It is not an accurate representation.

I love the Nano i have to say. It is not great outdoors though so my experiences with it may not be relevant as i fly it indoors. The Nano is by far the best small indoor space cp helicopter IMO

If garden flying is your thing then i would get a 130x

Thanks all for the advice. I'm now flying a 130x around the garden and loving it. Very twitchy initially, far more responsive than the raptors! Getting the hang of it now though. Just need to make the various mods which people have recommended to get it flying perfectly. Thanks again!
