Hi all I was having a look around my favourite auction houses and spotted a
"scale model flying petrol engine bell helicopter with full remote control and all equipment with spare crystals and blades approx. 1960s"
this has no reserve price any idea on how much it would be worth assuming it dosnt work
    I have included a pic
this will be a project for the future

A collector may value it? personally I would not bid over £35/maybe£40. If no one is interested I would kick it off at a Quid you never know!

At a guess it looks like an old Century .50 size Bell 47G (not petrol, it looks like nitro). It would most likely take a lot of work and probably all the electrics replaced, probably the engine as well and who knows what else. Sooooo, not worth very much IMHO. Not from the 1960s BTW as you probably know, most likely 1980s or '90s.

--on a closer look I'd say not a Century, something more crude. Looks like it's left-hand rotation and I don't recognise the rotorhead but it does looks like a .50 size airframe to me.

I think it could be a Morley Bell 47G or possibley an MFA,but not sure if MFA made a Bell 47G.
          Would be around 1982.

It's worth what ever you want to pay for it, if you are a collector and want it for spares to keep another one flying then you will pay more for it.

it is one that I have always wanted ever since I first saw them on mash many many moons ago
it would be a project for the winter spring
as I have yet to fly my first helicopter (sh8830 as I am waiting for parts)
                I am a total newbie

I bought a Morley Bell47G last year, paid £40 for it, fitted with old electrics inc original Morley gyro and a new OS40LA.

                      you are nearly correct
the first picture is a morley bell 47g mk3
it is a 40 class heli
it does have value but it isn't worth a fortune
if the front bubble is cracked you will not replace it

the last picture you have is the lhc bell 47 conversion for the shuttle/raptor, this was made from the morley 60 size bell 47 moulds, the bubble and fuel tanks are larger
the tail truss is longer but can be re-worked to fit the 40 size morley

here are the last morley bell 47's to win the morley vintage cup
the cup is shown and Jim Morley who is sadly no longer with us

if you wish to improve the control system even further retro fit a shuttle rotor head onto the morley mechanics
it improves the model no end and was approved by the late Jim Morley

I thought it might have been the same as it has the same paint job but I suppose that doesn't mean much
I will put a max bid of £60 on It and see at happens
there are bound to be others I the future
                          but still worth a punt

depending on who's bidding it may well pass £60 by quite a margin

I suppose it might but is it worth more than £60 as a none working helicopter that might need new every thing that is the big question
