You had to watch the show, it was my first time watching the show and was pretty unimpressed TBH. A lot of fumbling about talking about random things, Angelos, Dave and Bert would be talking and Nick would just cut them off or not let them finish what they were saying so he could jump to somebody else or do shameless plug for Zone or KDS agile or this AccuRC crap everybody is getting a hard on over.

And is Kev Davies related to Johhny Vegas in any way..??
    Happy Flying! Thanks - Dave

I was wondering why Angelos hadn't announced or promoted on here so we had a chance to watch and win if we wanted.

I'll be honest, I tried to watch the episode that first talked about AccuRC and I found it hard work. Just the same as you I thought it kind of bumbled about all over the place with conversations drifting and questions being asked and then no answer before jumping on something else or to someone else.

Don't you think they've got a lot to cram in 2 hours? Maybe that's why Nick jumps from one to another... possibly because theres a lot to get through in the show? Seriously... if you guys can do better though then im here waiting to watch
Im sure they would much rather here something constructive rather than ranting.
People talk about plugging stuff... its the business. And this is part of the reason why heli tech is at the top.

I just leave it running in the background. I'm not overly bothered about the video thing. It's no worse then emmerdale or corrie. And it's got helicopters.

If I had to criticize anything then for me it would be this...
I feel that because theres too many people to talk to then some of the people that id like to hear from don't get enough time to talk. Taking last nights episode as an example... I would rather have heard just 2 guests. Lets say Angelos and Bert. This would have given more time to both of them and perhaps there would be less flicking from one conversation to another. I however would have loved to see Dave Fisher on maybe the next show alongside someone else.
So in essence, less people more talking.
It was great to hear how Bert got into the hobby and the story of his route along the way. The same for both Dave and Angelos. Kev does a pretty good job of the news also imo, but I think some of us would like to hear some technical stuff alongside. Generally though i like the informal feel to the whole show so hats of to them all for that.

I agree on all those points. I have only watched one so far and it was the one with Bobby Watts and he was sitting over there for ages before getting a chance to talk. But well done to anyone that has the enthusiasm and the resourcefulness to do these kinds of things, I'm sure there's a heck of a lot more effort involved than it may appear.

I would agree with you on that, the show would have been better if it was just Bert and Angelos so they could have had a chance to talk more. What got my back up and im sure if you watched the show you could see during the news in which Kev "erm" "erm" "erm" "erm" Davis fumbled through was the blatant attempt to prompt a response out of Bert and you could see he was was a little peeved by this also in his response to Nik when he asked him about the new RJX Vector 700 and it looking like a goblin speed copy,.. Nik then proceeded to realise that he had ****ed Bert off and tried furiously to dig himself and the show out of a hole otherwise i think Bert would have ditched his microphone and closed his laptop and said goodbye!.

The best part of the show for me was the lengthy chat with Bert and Angelos about both parties respected histories and introduction into the hobby and how they have changed over the years to where they are today. However the most defining moment and i have to admit i have a new found respect for Bert is from his small speech about making a hobby into a business. He said its hard work making a hobby into a business and earning a living from it, he goes on to say that a lot of people get delusions of grandure and just because they can do a loop and a roll they think they will be the next Alan Szabo or Kyle Dahl with full time jobs in the hobby just flying all the time.

His words were "It's a Hobby, Don't give up your Eduction!"

I wonder how many people actually heard those words?
                    Happy Flying! Thanks - Dave

Nick definitely needed to draw back a bit on Bert after the RJX Vector comment clearly annoyed / irritated

Each guest has a lot to contribute and they're getting good guests but nick needs to let the 'interview' flow .... a guest was asked one question at a time .... allowed to half-answer before moving to another guest ... Angelos talking about working at a partical physics lab .... could have spent more time digging into that ... talking about the principals behind developing algorithms and even how it hangs together (feedback loops etc without going into his secret sauce) ... Angelos could be a massive source of real interesting content.

Less guests per show and using a little more careful questioning to draw the conversation on would make for better listening/watching .... Poor Stu didn't get too much in but again there's more to him than the pilot ...

Sound quality last night for whatever reason (for me anyway) was massively worse than the previous shows but thats not really under their control .... the regular presenters at least should be using decent headsets

Definitely happy we have a show ... and having watches podcasts for years now (since they began) i know it takes a month or two for presenters to get more comfortable and better flow ... its natural ... so i'd see my comments as hopeful feedback
Will keep watching and i'm confident it'll settle down and develop into a really good show

Just watched a bit of the show and I see my microphone was really bad. I seems that between the test run on Sunday night and the show on Tuesday the computer decided to change back to the webcam microphone which is a lot more distant than the one on the headphones. Shame nobody mentioned it to me before we went live, it was only a couple of clicks to change.

Well, hope we get to hear more from you in the future ... you have a fascinating history and i think you speaking about the way FBL algorithms work etc would be interesting

For me the overall quality was suffering (no idea why) ... was great the previous weeks
