But im shore if it has been sent recorded. Royal mail they would be able to find out if it has been signed for.

Tbh if i was royal mail I would want all parcels & post tagged/coded so that locations can be tracked as a business as this must cost them in compo ?

Obviously then they could charge a nominal fee for several layered tracking options dependant on item cost level....always beggars belief why they haven't sorted this already...now it's privatised will they care ?
