Do I need a particular type of drillbit for carbon fibre frames? I need to drill some 3mm holes and the bits I have for my 'Roto-tool' (cheap dremel wannabe but it's OK for simple stuff) are all too worn now and they don't even begin to bite into these carbon frames.

I've drilled loads of holes in CF frames and only ever used normal HSS bits. Never had a problem. -
Be careful of the dust, it's not good for you... Keep it under water if poss' (not the electric drill lol)Paul

Nice new standard drill bit but drill through masking tape.
