I know this is not realy theplace to post but it relates to different things , My trex that I have has the rx mounted to the rear of the helli as the manual said also the esc is mounted below the battery at the front but I think im exsperiencing glitches on my 35mhz gear . The rx is schulze make and i was advised for this choice to prevent this happening . But im sure im getting glitchy happenings so much so im allmost affraid to fly it .

Any insight in to this would be great guys

I had glitch issues with my mini titan and I am also on 35mhz, and after many suggestions from Moyesboy who practically lives on this forum solved my probs in the end. There will be many suggestions, from others more experienced than I on here I am sure, but the routing of the rx aerial is a good place to start (keeping it away from basically everything)!!!
    good luck

Here's a few pics showing my old 35mhz layout. This was as glitch free as I ever got it, but I still had a few now and then.
Some people claim that WD40 on the belt helps also, but I never tried that.

At the end of the day 2.4gigs is the only way to ever be completely glitch free on these small electric helis.
You could try a PCM RX but they only mask the problem till they lock out completely and you crash. At least with PPM you only have a momentary loss of control.
Keep moving RX and wiring around till you find the sweet spot.
An MAP antenna helped on mine. It's basically a normal antenna wrapped around a drinks straw and covered in heat shrink. I noticed no loss of range on mine.
Good luck! And start saving for a 2.4 set!

I switched to Spektrum last summer after one too many crashes.

Get the Fasst rx. Problem solved.

I feel your pain Jamie - I too had a Shultze 35W IPD Rx fitted and it glitched so bad that i lost her three times - the amusing thing is the Rx counts the glitches and diplayes them in a coded flashing LED - so at least you can see how bad it was (the benefit of hindsight and all that!)

Then I fitted a full size R148 Duel Conversion Futaba Rx - which only just fitted between the frames - that solved the issue, but was heavy.

Now I've gone 2.4 with a Spektrum module in my Futaba 9C Tx and an AR700 in the heli - works great - end of radio issues

FYI I tried 'the book' to fix my glitching, all to no avail - then I found than just behind some nearby trees, and certainly within 100 yards of the heli in flight was a - wait for it- #@#*'# Mobile Phone mast with huge transmitter boxes bolted to it. As far as my poor 'lil T450 was concerned it must have been like being hit by mega watt EMP. It doesn't have to be on or near your frequency - its just the raw radio/micro wave power output of these things that induces a mass of spurious electric currents in your delicate electronics as they fly through the radio beam. Its not the sole cause, I mean, the inadequate noise suppression of the 35MHz Rx didn't help you know.

So, anyways, go 2.4 my friend and kiss goodbye to all that metal to metal RF noise and external radio interferrance induced glitching nonsense

If the heli was good, but recently turned bad with all the radio stuff in the same place
                look for some rough bearings.
look for a damaged wire somewhere.

If you are moving stuff about then yuo can get a measure of how you are doing by checking the antenna down range outside (My 35Mhz range checks indoors were found to be entirely dependant on the relative position of the RSJ holding my roof up!).

I got faultless performance with 35mhz on futaba with a 146i pcm rx for many months and then suddenly started to have problems. I switched to 2.4 (spectrum) but at the same time found a rough bearing on the main shaft (just worn out without crashing). Probably that was the issue.

I do like the DX7 though!

                  sorted

OK ive put my r617fs 2.4ghz rx on and what a difference . Im actualy feeling like I realy like my trex now .Completely glitch free and put two pacs through it and didnt crash . My first flight ended in disaster and cost me £110 in total and that was 100% a glitch now I think about it. A big thanks to the advice from all guys above that gave me the push and as usuall this forum comes up Trumphs and is a priceless tool in this hobby . WHERE WOULD WE ALL BE WITH OUT STUARTN and ill be making another donation tonight cos of it.
