  • Spares. What do you keep.????

I don't think I'm an exception when I say I have almost enough spares other than main frames and odd items to repair each of my helis.

I like most on here "do crash" and not afraid to admit it when it happens, but I find that if you get it home, Strip it down and repair it quick the sadness of the crash disappears very quick.

What do you guys keep in spares or do you order them when required.

I just run two Knights so I have a full kit

I just replace the bits I use after a crash or maintenance. If I do crash I like to have it in flying condition a couple of hours after getting home from the field.

I have had the occasional "ding" I have several items and these also include originals I have kept when I have upgraded. Probably the biggest collection of spares I have is for my Old Kalt Baron30 as these are rare now I have collected a few along the way and probably have enough to build another complete heli (only have an MDS engine that came with it as a spare, but I consider that to be a door stop not an engine)

Spares, ? what are they then ??????????
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

              And a DX8 too

when you crash order 2 of whatever you break. Next time you crash order one of the bits you already have (to replace the one you used) and 2 of the other bits.

keep doing that and eventually you will have a whole kit...

or you could just buy a spare airframe it would be cheaper :-)

Yeah thats an option Ade but you only get one of everything then..

I admit it would be cheaper though..

I'm a bit of a nucase when it comes to spares

I've packets apon packets of spares for each of my helis... I could quite easily have enough stock as what a small hobby shop would do.

And then there is batteries :S I've enough to blow my house up!

I just buy everything and anything... even stuff i don't need.. just in case

A spare heli's good.. but probally excessive .. coz I'll only break that as well

so only something thats been broke I have a spare for generally. i don't buy anything I don't need.

Although I never have 2 sets of main blades one set costs enough!
