  • N9 mid-air

Well Guys, It was a great flying day and a reet bad flying day!!

There was only 4 of us at the field and only 2 flew at the same time but the law of Sod came out to play
Ade999 had a cracking start with his N9. It was flying well on Saturday but, after a few slight tweaks, today, the N9 and the new YS was incredible

But then, Mr Sod intervened and... well, have a look at the photos. A nice, fast circuit turned into a nightmare mid-air .
The other heli wasn't as bad. It came up vertically from below and the blades cut the canopy and radio tray and the boom and TT cut cut clean off. The rx and Lipo were found 30 odd yards from the heli. Both were a bit worse for wear to say the least! The boom was near the aiframe but had buried itself. The hub and gearbox were underground and the boom and horizontal fin sticking straight up.

Ade didn't make a list of buggered things, just a (short) list of stuff that could be used again Ade reckons it may be cheaper to get another kit rather than rebuild the existing!!

    What a day

    We feel for you dude

Feel bad for you both, they look pretty mangled.
Had a heli plane midair at our club a few weeks ago, and that wrote both models off.
