  • Which Starter and Lipo?

Since getting the Synergy my £20 starter doesnt like it! ive pretty much resigned myself to a Sullivan Dynatron, but which lipo to strap to it? And how have people attatched it? I dont like carry gel cells around with me, i dont re-charge anything at the field, so i just want a (6s?) lipo to power it. I found a FlightPower 3700 6s lipo for £129.99, that sound ok?

you don't need a 6s lipo to start a synergy. i use my dynatron on 3000mah 3s revolution cells and it starts my synergy. it is a little weak though so 4 or 5s would be plenty. the problem with a really powerful starter is you will not hydra lock, you will break something.

    cheers

I've got a Robbe heavy duty starter and use a 4S 3700 mAh lipo I had spare. It's plenty to start brand new 91SZH's and C Specs and 4S should be fine on the Dynatron. The Dynatron will run on 24V/6S quite happily but as Raptorheli2 says, it doesn't take prisoners with this sort of setup.

There's certainly something available in the states to mount batteries to the Dynatron but I've not seen one available in the UK.

Surely your not going to spend £130 on a batt for a starter! Just seems a bit of a waste to me, I've got a ******* 4cell 3700 flight power on mine, lasts about a month before it needs charging and loads of power. As russ said the electrolite ones look a bit more reasonable. Just my 2p worth, your money I spose.

Not got one myself but if you fly electric as well as nitro then its a good way of powering your charger too.

                  Twas just a thought..
