its pretty straightforward to do

setup your tx as a plank rather than a heli, and just use one of the extra channels as a switch for throttle hold.

I haven't managed to config the TH switch either, i think it can be done though. I'm currently flying the 600 EFL PRO on soft, but i have altered the weight, expo, tail speed etc. and also have the camera zooming in a bit more. I think the sound is good too. You can set the wind and also remove the wind direction arrow.
Good to know the simstick works, i will get one now.

Simsick was easy just plug and play worked straight away.

Will be trying some of the suggestions from this thread to see if I can get TH working.

Otherwise great sim love the sound too.

Once I get TH sorted I'll definitely be pressing the Buy button.

You cant use the transmitter mode and expect the sim to know it has changed. you need to assign a channel to a switch, and use that as your throttle hold in the calibration menu of the sim.

Flight modes and throttle hold are part of the computer radio, and changing them wont change a channels output.

So your steps are:

1) get a switch working on a channel, if you have aux2 working on the aux2 switch then thats a good start

2) assign the throttle hold switch (the switch you usually use for throttle hold) to that channel, not to throttle hold.

3) tell the sim in the calibration menu which channel you are using for throttle hold.

and you are done

unfortunately autorotations in Next are its weak spot, i.e. utter crap.

I can only get 4 channels to move the sliders in NeXt no matter what I try.
I cant get any of the other switches or knobs to show up.
Tried various switch and channel assignments but I can't get more than 4 sliders/channel indicators
to talk to the sim. Tried with my dx7 and dx18

Posted a video just so you guys can see if I'm doing something wrong with the setup?

Surinder, I have a different cable to you, but having similar issues.
I can assign the hold switch but then it just drops out of the sky, but can make it auto with Aux 2.
Maybe worth an email to the developer, he seems a decent chap and will reply.

Yes i did, it's easy.
Set up a new channel in Acro, go in to switch select, Inhibit AUX2 and set Mix to AUX 2 and then you should be good.
Then i just alter the auto rotation settings in the heli to make autos more realistic.
Let me know how you get on.

Got an older DX7, set it to plank mode and calibrated... But there's not swash mixing going on, the heli thinks its a plank? What did I miss?

Don't know, it's been a while since I had a DX7, I just plugged mine in on acro mode, didn't even need calibrate.
