Goblin 500 Crash - Cause ???

Hi guys.
I have crashed my 500 Goblin yesterday.
I have a Quantum motor and a CC phoenix edge lite 100A esc. vbar
The heli has only done 10-15 flights.

Sudden loss of power.
At first I thought it's the esc, as powering up afterwards, it did weird things - power was on/off/on/off ect. ( the battery seem fine, and it did the same with a different battery )
Removing the main belt and the motor was working fine.

Data from esc is fine, other than the head speed dropping to 0 in a straight line.

Any ideas
Someone at the club mentioned one way bearing?

Might help if you publish your ESC setup file, and any logs/graphs you've got from the flight ...

With both belts off can you spin the head freely or is it too hard to turn? (thats if the main shaft isnt bent) if it spins smoothly doubt it would be the OWB.

Bec is Castle 10A bec (blue one)
Cannot remember if sats were flashing.

Just touched 50 degrees

Get a good quality 20C+ LiFe pack instead then. 6.6v

Stay well clear. On paper they're good for 10A but mine caused a midair reboot.

I've got this: 2s 2500mAh A123 Battery Pack - Craft

It's big and heavy so may not be suitable on a 500. What about using a very good BEC along with a Scorpion BUG/Opti Guard?

I'm starting to think that a BUG/Opti Guard is needed on every model regarless of Nitro/BEC/LiPo/LiFe etc...

I use both Hyperion and Turnigy 1450mah LiFe on my E700 and Fusion 50, but they're a bit big for a Goblin 500. The Turnigys are rated 20C-40C so maybe I'll use them more than my Hyperion after reading Harry's post. I might give them all a few cycles on my PL8 and take some graphs at 10A discharge.

I use a Castle BEC pro on my Gobby 500. Maybe a little ott for the G500, but I had it on my Trex 500 so took it from there and put a little Gryphon Polaris on that. It fits nice under the base plate of the Goblin.
