  • Vortex VX1n can't get 8 degrees!

I have tried to setup my vortex VXn1. Everything has gone well except the on the ail setup the lowest value I can get in 9.4 degrees! This is on a Trex 700N and FL760 FBL head with DS 615 servos and the standard plastic horns/linkages.
There appears to be too much servo throw. Can I alter the end points in my radio? There isn't much scope to change the linkage. Even as low as 60% its 9.4 degrees!

Has anyone encountered this issue before?

If you are using align disc type, I always use inner holes on other systems.

Sounds like you need to change your mechanical setup. A few choices, come in on your horns you will need different ones or if you haven't got the 3G bell cranks and A arm you could install those which will reduce your mechanical throw. Try different horns first like Align 3G, or Quick uk. Off the top of my head 10-12mm should be about right from centre of the horn.

They will def sort it but need the E 3G elevator arm as well. Use the arm from the E and the A from your N. If you just change the bell cranks and not the A arm you will get more interactions than usual.
