  • JP Twister V2 vs Honeybee FP

    Hi All,

Firstly, are these birds the same thing? And if not then what are the differences between the two? I hear the Honeybee runs nicely on 2s LiPos, will the Twister be the same?

The honeybee FP is a fixed pitch heli and the Twister CP V2 is a Collective pitch heli. They do have one thing in common though, they are both rubbish and a total waste of your hard earned cash.

You have a Blade 400, WHY would would you be considering one of these????

Not for me. For my son who has decided he wants the Honeybee. And I dont mean the Twister CP, they do a FP version which looks to all intents and purposes the same as the Honeybee. The Twister though seems to be in stock at LHS whereas the Honeybee isn't. As I have a bunch of 2s Lipos laying around I know they will just drop straight in the HB but am not so sure of the Twister.

The Twister 400s fixed pitch is what I think you're referring to. I have one and it flies great straight out of the box. It's smaller than the Honeybee; not a bad little heli for a cheapie. I also have a Honeybee fixed pitch which is crap. Despite spending hours setting it up and getting everything spot on it's all over the place. It seems underpowered and a handfull to control. It ended up in the long grass with the motor smoking this evening. I've given up with it. My MJX F45 is a peach by comparison. Another cheap fixed pitch heli that flies straight out of the box!

Has he got any experience with flying your 400?

If not I'd get him one of the blade micros to start with, Being small and cheap to repair, stacks of info on the net about them, they fly from the box opening and they do less damage if they hit something too.

I wish I had started out with a micro, but I jumped straight in on the 450 which turned out quite expensive at first lol.

Good on you for getting him started, My old man hit the roof when I bought my first Nitro car, he saw the attraction when he had a go mind
