hi all, just wondering, there is a lot of usefull info on here, some replies are good and i try to remember them for future use but inevetibly forget.so what im asking is....is there a way of saving a particular reply to a thread either to keep them alltogether say on my home page or to download so i can create a folder to store them in my documents.ive just tried to do this and "saved as is" but it saved all the replies to that thread not the one in particular that i wanted.is there a bookmark option on here for a particular reply? thanks in advance adam

You could just highlight the required text and copy, then paste into a word page or notepad

If you click the post number (yours above is #1) in the blue bar immediately above the post in question, that post opens up in a new window. You can book mark that?

EDIT: Looks like you can't do that here sorry.

I use OneNote to keep a running spares list as well as a list of things I need to change/test. It syncs my phone with my work and home PCs, so whenever I come across something I think is worthwhile, I chuck it in for thinking about later. There are other apps for phones that do the same thing, I find it invaluable as I can never remember what I was supposed to remember

Do that by clicking thread tools at the top and subscribe to the thread option. Just looged in as my misus to double check that as i see things different to you lot.
                  Hope that helps though :-)

i could do this, however it means going through the whole thread to find the one reply i want, not too bad if there is only a couple of replies, but some go on for 3 or more pages.also im not sure how long the thread would stay visable once its been closed.thanks for the sugestion though.adam

Fair comment if its a particular post that you want to reference.

Personally Ive never felt the need to do that and found as long as i can easily find the thread then finding a particular post doesnt take long at all.

If you wanted a certain page then it can easily be bookmarked or a shortcut to it on your desktop or in a folder

To go that suggestion one further, you can create subscription folders. That's what I do whenever I have a few threads I want quick access to. Once it's created, when you subscribe to a thread, you'll be asked which folder you want to use.
