Help, 150 clone won't bind to DX7??

The guy at the checkout said it is an exact replica of the 150 rebranded.
I've checked and it didn't break getting out of the box... maybe a bad sign? Perhaps I should have gone for a higher strength?
However, I have high hopes that this little fella will hold its value better than the Align branded version.
Any suggestions for tomorrow? I'm thinking of trying it with some tomato and lettuce.
