any recomendations for a generator?

I am looking at the option of running a generator at the field to charge more batteries, any recommendations?

My current set up of a leisure battery and charger is only really suitable for 3s batteries on a 450 pro. I am not flying a 550 and a 700 with 5000mAh 6s batteries and the set up will only do 2 batteries which is rubbish.

Theres probably a few threads on this, but I use a Kipor KGE-1000ti Genny.. Its not too expensive (good 2nd hand ones usually go for £200-£250) and it provides 900w constant which will allow you to parallel charge three 6S 5000 LiPos at 2C off a PL8.

The Honda Gennys are probably the best but they cost ~3 times more and you have to have them serviced by a honda dealer to maintain their warranties.

Overall really pleased with my Genny, its made field charging so easy =)

Thats what I've been doing since moving on to a 700 size with twin batteries.
Getting expensive as my jam jar runs on super unleaded and my charging is limited by only having 12volts.
Starting to think it would take years to make running a genny cheaper than the car option.... bloody expensive addictive hobby lol

Great till you cook your alternater !! I have seen one red hot and smelling. Or someone nicks your car that would look great on the claims form.
The Hondas are expensive, but if you look at the used prices they don't seem to loose money, they seem to command similar amounts whatever age they are.
