  • A bit of fun with Angelos

I popped in to see Angelos on my way up to hull.

    Flew my first Spartan vortex.

The vortex is a different bit of kit compared to the others I have flown. talking to Angelos is great about how it all works.

On the vbars that I have flown the cyclic have all got sensitive in fast translational flight, coming out the bottom of BIG loops the effect is especially noticeable. Doing massive loops the Spartan doesn't do it.

The way it handles blade and damping loading is different meaning that the cyclic response is much faster.

I had already made my decision on which flybarless I was going to be getting this just confirmed what I already knew 😀

I also flew his fpv zagi too which was great fun! Especially flying with somebody else attempting formation flying!

That's a great pic of the zagi! I have wanted for ages to get some good air to air heli footage but so far none of the quad flyers and FPVers I know have quite got the hang of it and don't get close enough. (it is more difficult that it might seem)

      trillian,
it is easier to find each other at low altitude than in empty sky. We have names for "landmarks" so we can tell each other where we are... by the pond, at the bend, down the lane, etc. Otherwise a competent coordinator on the ground can get the planes lined up.

Here is a video my flying buddy made a while ago at the same place outside the Spartan office where Ade flew.

EDIT: I just saw you are in London so not too far away. Did you come to our FPV meet?
