    I went RCHA.

Cover is the pretty much the same. Cheaper. And runs from the date you get it so regardless when purchased you get 12 months.

Either way, they are both good and worthwhile, take your pick

Bmfa is more widely accepted and has a higher cover. Some clubs are bmfa affiliated and won't accept rcha

Unless things have changed recently ?

The only reservation I would have is that RCHA insurance isn't recognised by most clubs, so if you wanted to go to a flyin or event you may not be able to fly. At MK we recognise RCHA insurance and accept that it offers equivalent cover so either is fine for our events.

Any club you might be a member of or may join May only accept BMFA so you need to research this, other than that go for the one that tickles your fancy

The only benefit of bmfa is a quarterly mag of rubber power planks, over rcha cover. And if you won't to get a A or B cert via bmfa.

If your club is BMFA affiliated then you will need BMFA insurance, beyond that as Dave said, check if the events you want to fly at recognize RCHA or not and decide if the RCHA cover limit is high enough for the places you fly.

Personally I belong to BMFA for insurance through my club, but I also join RCHA at the lower rate without insurance, so I support both.

Not really true, BMFA will allow non-members to take the A and B tests and there were still differences in cover last time I checked.

Just for balance the RCHA are introducing their own achievement scheme and most events you can pay £5 I think and have temporary BMFA cover
