  • Dangers of IR in Lipos

    Hi guys.

I ordered myself a couple of Turnigy Blue 2200mah 3S 35C Batteries, and upon arrival I thought I'd check the IR of them along with the 2 second-hand packs I received with my Heli.

    They are as follows:
    Turnigy 1 : 7, 7, 6
    Turnigy 2 : 5, 5, 6
    Old 1 : 20, 20, 22
    Old 2 : 24, 22, 24

From what I've read the Turnigy IR's are perfectly acceptable, but the Old packs seem a bit.. high?

    Advice?

    Cheers

They are quite high and they will get worse the older they get reducing their ability to release power. They are the same though so I would continue to use them until they start to drop off, might be worth recording how much you are taking out and how long they are taking to charge

The old ones are more than a bit high. They look just about ready for (spiking) disposing of.
