the align 50 version is the same engine as the os50 with all parts interchangeable for less money.....reliable and the one/two needle setup keeps it relatively simple when tuning. Both will baffle you for a while though, when they start, but run in reverse!

On a bit of a side note... run decent fuel in it.

Im not up on the currently available good fuels as I have been out of it for a while but its probably safe to say that model technics is still not one of the good ones!

LMFAO has Model Technics EVER been one of the good ones??

Decent fuels nowadays Ade, are, Byrons RotorRage, Cool Power, Optifuel and Rapicon.

Magnum is no longer in the uk, neither is Wildcat

I can wholeheartedly recommend the OS55 if you ever need to renew the 50. A simply fantastic engine, good to tune and gives great power. The 50 you've got though is a great reliable engine.

No Rapicon as far as I am aware either. There was talk of no importer, although I don't know how true that is, maybe climbout can clear up

I think its best to stick to Optifuel = UK made always available, or Byrons = US made but amazingly good importer in CML.

I think with those 2 fuels you will never have a shortage really. I do miss my Magnum tho! Used to love dis-appearing in a big cloud of smoke LOL

Leamington Hobby Centre used to do Wildcat. Are they still in business? Have they stopped importing the fuel? I was sure Wayne at MK was still able to get it.
