  • Dried out 450

Thanks to a quick swap for a replacement ESC with the other "moyesboy" who frequents this forum, my 450 is back in the air after its bog snorkling championship flight at nuneaton a week ago.
All the electric survived the dunking except the ESC.

        Fantastic to hear it

More importantly, how did the jeans and trainers fair?

The moyesboy with fewer carbon extras is a lot younger than both of us Bob!
but with a name like funfreex I suspect he may have experience with floppy and baggy aviation like yourself.
(Jamie, BobJs got an airwave pulse locked in his garage that he is too much of a wuss to fly).

Dave, the stories been told elswhere on the forum.
The second chapter was the tail blades flying off the raptor soon afterward.

                Hi Gordon

Freex, must have some thing to do with Andy Shaw then, top bloke and a mate of mine.

                ----------------------
It's actauly hanging up in the store room at the back of the shop, where it has been for a few years until I have time and can be arsed to get past HG EP level, I realised then that there are less days when it's actually flyable on a HG than a PG a while back although they do go a bit better into wind I have to admit:-)

                Cheers
                Bob

Bob, the days you think are PG but not HG days are mostly still HG days on a bigger hill (like we have for most directions in the peaks) - and they are all good aerotow days.
Aerotow is great. Takoff when you want into an empty sky, fly all you want and come back for a cup of tea.
And fly the 450 in between
All those days I wasted sitting on a hill waiting for the wind with a good sky above. Now I only do that at hill based comps.
Problem is there are few places to get a tow becuase all the HG pilots would rather carry up a big hill and wait about, or not bother at all, than pay £15 for a tow.
