Hi, with the cold weather now here does anyone know of a decent pair of flying gloves, not too thick and must be able to expose thumb and forefinger, I've been looking at some shooting gloves but any suggestions would be great and to be honest I've seen the transmitter glove and in one word NO!

Have tried several different gloves now and couldn't get on with any of them until a shooting friend of mine put me onto these which I have no problem flying in….….

They have a very thin swede like material on the palm which is quite grippy and insulated on the top. I've found that you'd still need a pair of decent warm gloves for using after a flight but for flying in these are great. I've bought a Turnigy mit which also works really well but I like to be able to see the screen on the tx which is pretty hard with the mit as it steams up!

I chopped the thumbs off some petrol-station thinsulate ones, and they're OK, but a bit slippery on the back of the TX.
Tried a tit-mitt today and I don't like it - makes me hold the TX at an un-natural angle. I might mess with the strap and see if I can improve it, but I think anything that restrains the TX from moving about will irritate me.
Petrol station is now selling leather thinsulate gloves for £6, might give those a go...

They feel warm, they are completely wind and water proof,
The palm and underside of the fingers is made of a very thin material,
I have tried them on the sim and the feeling is good, you can still feel the sticks fine and the sensitivity is very good.WEA-TTI-TMFC........

How about a set of heated glove liners?
Warm and Safe Heated Glove Liners
They can be run from a 3s lipo.
These are lightweight and have very little effect on the feel of the sticks, but are very effective at keeping your hands warm.Richard

They are excellent - really good feel through the swede type palms and fingers, nice and grippy, and well insulated backside. Very pleased. I am typing with them on now...

Being a complete and utter cheapskate, I stopped of at my local Aldi and bought a pair of these on the way home today: https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuy...oprene-gloves/
Will be trying them out on Saturday. Either way it's only a fiver and if they're no good for flying I could always take up fishing... <yeah, right>Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days lived
