Best 250 size Heli out there?

Hi guys, I have pre-ordered my align 150 to replace my mcpx. Now looking to replace my 130x with a good 250 size Heli. From what I have heard the align 250 dfc hasn't had great reviews, and was after other choices and more advise.

Gaui X2 is pretty well made and as had some good reviews I have not flown a 200/250 yet but the flybarred versions are pretty good I prefer the Gaui 200 over the Trex 250 as it crashes better and feels more precise in flight but both have small parts, so can be difficult to work on but if you have experience with a 130 that should not be a problem.

I have been looking at the gaui very closely, seems like it gets better reviews then the align micro helis

The Gaui is an extremely well made machine, however that reflects in the cost.

I have a 250 DFC and I really enjoy it for normal flying, however I've had a couple of occasions where the tail blew out during a flip and for that reason, mine is now in bits in the naughty corner... (in fairness, this may be due to my 3gx settings or my setup, not necessarily the trex)

I have a vbar laying around I could kit on to my chosen Heli. I am loving align helicopters at the moment. Think they have really stepped there game up to.

I have a 250SE, and a X2.
Both fly well, but the X2 needs a couple of minor mods. The 250 just needed a decent tail servo.
I had consistent problems with my OWB spinning in the Gaui main gear, so I fitted a 250 main gear.
I also had to make a spacer for the tail drive gear (I bought a CNC one from a member of HF).
When building the X2, you have to pay attention to the tail belt clearance on the motor pinion.

I have a Gaui Hurricane 200 and love it! much better than my old trex 250 on all levels.

Decide to try out the align 250 dfc bnf. It comes with the 3gx mr. I think it's the spare prices that made me what to go with it. Just looking for something I can beat around without having to see pound signs in the air. I know the gaui would be a much better flying machine, but the kit cost would be around the £400-£500 mark. A little too much for a beater Heli.

Just ordered the hobby king packs for now guys, it's really just a leave in the car basher Heli. Can't wait now :-)

+1 for the optis. Upgrade to the scorpion/hyperion 3900kv motor and it's even more mental!
