dx7 throttle hold/cut setup how

if i want throttle hold, to hold at idle,how or what switch can i set to cut the engine.
i cant use the gear or aux 2 switch is there a way to set it up to cut the engine on a switch etc.
my last tx had a cut button.

Ive looked but not found anyway of doing it, I think its one of those annoying little things missing on the DX7.

I use the throttle trim and the throttle recovery to put it back in place next time I switch on

putting the throttle trim all the way down then using throttle recovery is the way its done. no other options available on th dx7

I tried that mix, but couldn't get out of the habit of flicking the gyro into rate and back before takeoff, and kept stopping my motor. I went back to using the trim and throttle recovery. I think that works OK.
The bit where he says the trim thing overdrives the linkage is just because he didn't set the channel end point with the trim fully down like he should have.
There it is - I said Finless was wrong. I expect the CIA to hunt me out and remove me now

cheers think il have a try with it on the gear/gyro switch see how many times i take back off in rate mode instead of switching it back

I had a bit of a dilemmia when buying the dx7 because it had no throttle cut button and thought the trim thing was a bit old fashioned but in practice its fine, i wouldn't bother about looking for alternative routes to cut the engine, wot could be more simple than holding the trim down then 1 click up and its back to idle.

I only ever use heading hold.. never normal rate unless it's in a set up mode and that's only if I trash the heli anyway ... thats-72 +75 in gyro menu for my setup so what's the issue here

good one Lee just set it up on my raptor, will give it a go, had to do some fidling as ive got mixing in there for my governor, but think ive got it all right now
