Not a good weekend!!

Not the best weekend for me.

On the fifth flight of the day, I piled the Shuttle in at full tilt.

What was ironic was that I was coming in to land and I completely 'dumb thumbed' it.

I have only been able to bring myself to inspect the damage today, it goes like this:-

Frames (Main and tray)
Undercarriage
Canopy
Boom
Tail gearbox
Blades
Rotor holders
Swash plate
All shafts
Flybar
Flybar carrier
Washout
Flybar controls
All head links
Tail blades
Engine mount
Ripped 9404 servo case mounting lugs

Apart from that I got off lightly

Basically it is beyond economic repair and I'm pretty upset with myself as despite peoples opinions of the Shuttle, I had a good'un which flew very very well. In fact it was still very smooth right up to impact.

On the plus side, it seems the electrics are okay, so too is the exhaust and engine.

As a result I'm in the market for a cheap 30 sized Heli.

Does anyone have either a second hand Raptor 30 V2 or Sceadu Evo 30 minus electrics they would like to sell?

Sorry to hear that Mark, can fully empathise with you, cant help you with the 30, but really hope you get something airborne really quick

Someone must have an unused Rappy 30 V2 or similar kicking around in the attic or the back of the shed after moving up to a 50 that could go to a deserved new home for a little cash?

Airframe and blades would be enough to sort Mark out.

crikey mark thats a full list! it really is a bummer when you crash but none worse than when you know it was just a seconds brain fade. you'll beat yourself up for weeks. i hope you get sorted soon and if i hear of anything it will be posted here!!

Bad news Mark, sorry to hear about it.

Can't help with a 30, but I really hope you get back in the air soon.

Wouldn't fly this w/e myself. Far too windy & wet. Chicken!

I have a Raptor 50 v2 airframe, blades, engine & Zimmerman sceadu muffler if it helps. Not going to do anything with them, they are surplus to my requirements.

Nothing to help you with other than an upgraded full metal head thats in the classifieds if you are re-building her..

Bloody bad luck mate, didn't seem as serious as that when we first inspected the aftermath

fingers crossed the older pilots have kit they wanna donate at a super reasonable price. Sadly all I can offer is CX2 bits...which aint gonna help you much.
