Revo Connections

Anyone know what the connectors mike uses on the Revolution packs are, or what they are compatible with. trying to find a connector from them to my bantam charger?

I have also been looking for these connectors, as I would like to balance Revo packs on my Hyperion Charger. I have not found anything yet apart from the fact that both Bantam & Hyperion do not support the cellpro connector and do not make an adaptor board for them.

I did ask Mike if he had a adaptor board to convert to JST or TP balance connectors, but he said it was up to the charger manufactorer to provide the convertor. which I suppose is fair enough.

You could always buy some jst balance leads off ebay & cut the cellpro conector off & solder the jst in place whilst sticking two fingers up at the un helpfull attitude of Aurorra to your plight

I think i know what it is, but have no sample yet to be sure.

Either should mate with the cellpro plug I think.

I intend to order some samples tomorrow (we deal with JST at work).
A fellow club member has bought a cellpro battery without realising he couldn't plug it into his existing charger.

aurorra will help you plug other batteries into their charger, but not help you plug their batteries into other chargers. I guess this protects warranty on their batteries, however surely it cuts the market down for their batteries!?

making up an adaptor won't be hard its just getting a socket for the plug to fit into.

i phoned him and asked him about buying a few 3s packs, but said is it possible to either have different balance connectors or an adaptor for my charger. he said no, offered no helpful ideas or suggestions, so i spent my hard earned elsewhere

What you can do is buy a Cellpro female end from Mike and get any type of adapter for your charger and cut and splice them together

For instance get the new Cellpro to old Cellpro adapter lead,this allows current 3s Cellpros to be charged with the new charger,cut the new charger end plug off leaving the female Lipo end then solder the leads to any particular lead for your Bantam..

Its not ideal but its easy enough and does work

I hadn't rwalised that mike sold anything with a cellpro female on it.

but he deosn't tell anyone about that and he doesn't sell just the cellpro female as a "tail".

I found Mike very helpful and knowledgable, but not prepared to discus anything much that is different to his ideas and products. Fair enough I suppose.
At least he is very knowledgeable about what he is selling - if only all retailers were like that.

Ive had an email back from Mike this morning confirming that the plugs are JST PA's

Now I suppose the problem is going to be able to find a supplier willing to sell small quantities of them.

I've asked Mike in the past if he sells an adapter for the Revo packs to TP chargers, he said that he doesn't because they don't sell adapters for his packs! I can go with Mikes views on why Cellpro chargers are good, I strongly believe that it's best to charge each cell individually but as has been said above, there only seems to be one way with Mike!
