  • Need a Washer/Spacer 25 X 28 X 0.5

I've been searching the Internet for two days and can't find any......

I have a large flanged bearing that needs a washer/spacer no more than 0.5mm thick and has an internal dimension of 25mm and external of no more than 28mm

    Any sources would be appreciated.

    Cheers

There's always the low-tech way of maiing these things if there's flexibiity in size. A thin sheet brass/ally or even plastic between two bits of mdf/ply etc - screw through to hold well and pop a 1" router bit through it. then you need to make a 1" arbour out of piece of hardwood.. assuming no lathe you stick a bolt through a lump of wood. chuck that in a drill (pillar drill or one clamped to the bench) and sand/file or chisel it to size with a flange to hold the washer against etc and file the outer diameter.

Definately a case of watch your fingers

Could you make one from a 26mm circle of 0.5mm diameter wire with the ends joined?

I'm guessing you'ld get a better circle with a piece of 0.2mmm metal a compass, hacksaw and a hand file
