Got a problem with a Hobbyking order.

I know it's little late now but when ordering from hobby king it is best to use payPal to pay, the same happened to me 2 weeks ago, after 4 days of waiting for a reply from hobby king I gave up contacted PayPal and within 12 hours I had my money back,

Ive had a few issues of a simmerler nature with other sites, there seems to be a bug in the forwarding software of some sites. I recently bought some vpn data alowance that did the same thing and last week the same happened at Hk. A quick email stating the paypal refrance and 24hrs later it was all on the move again.

Well they finally got in contact and manually checked that it had been paid and now my lipos are going to be sent out, so at least it is sorted.

I can't say I'm too impressed with their e-commerce system, which should be better considering they rely upon it, or the lack of a way to contact them by phone, or the time it took for them to get in contact once I'd contacted them, at a minimum I think within 24hrs any company should at least made some form of real contact, not automated, but it's sorted and that's the main thing, probably won't buy from there again, at least not until it looks like people are not having problems with them.

To be quite honest it looks like another case of management trying to run the company on the cheap and not having enough staff, which is fine when things go right, but it always comes back to bite you when things go wrong.

I have to admit though that once they did get to it they got it sorted, no e-mail ping pong or anything like that, just sorted.

I'm not sure they would see that as a criticism, it is more like the core of their business model.

Management are trying to run the company cheap and give us cheap prices as a result.

Nobody who shops there could seriously expect the sort of customer service you'd get from a UK store at those prices

But it always leads to problems when you understaff, and the reason for the cheap prices is their home turf is China.

Customer service in a large company should not have anything to do with the price of the goods, they make their money based mainly on two things, VOLUME of sales and where they source most of their stock.

I don't think it's asking much to at least have a response within 24hrs of submitting the complaint.
