Pigged off!

500 suddenly lost power far enough out that the auto was bouncy..and weirdly even with the total power loss it went into a piro so I couldn't bring it straight down. First evaluation is sprung main blade and cracked frame side and no explanation yet for the motor stopping.

Launched the 600N. I flew it yesterday and it was a tad rich but flying nicely. First flight just now on the dregs of the main tank but a full header the engine stopped while I had good smoke. The auto was fine but engine feels rough so something gave way inside - another overpriced set of parts going to be needed.

Right now if someone gave me a sensible offer for all my kit I'd grab it and run..

Frustrating hobby this. Weeks of great flying followed by a crash or two. Even worse when it is equipment failure as you have to diagnose the cause from a wrecked airframe which doesnt do the nerves any good when it comes to the maiden post repair. I tend to put them out if sight for a week or two to let the dust settle as it were.

Strangely ive not crashed for a while (touches wood)

One of those days. I didn't 'crash' my Rush, but I had to auto it after it warm started for some unknown reason. Too scared to fly it now as I don't what caused it so I have no idea if/when it's going to happen again.
